Rovada redcurrants are considered the best variety around, having won the RHS Award of Garden Merit. These bushes are great because their berries grow in long strings, making them super easy to pick. They produce an impressive amount of fruit, up to 10 kilograms per bush! The redcurrants are delicious and have that classic redcurrant taste. Rovada bushes fruit late in the season, from mid-July to well into August, so they're perfect for extending your picking time.

If you've got room for more than one plant, you might want to add a Junifer variety to start your harvest earlier. Redcurrant plants need a bit of space to do well; plant Rovada bushes 140 cm apart in the row and leave 150 cm between rows. This Dutch-bred variety flowers and fruits late, producing loads of big, tasty, translucent berries that are easy to pick because they hang in long strings.
